PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
I WOULD LIKE TO DONATE MY TIME AND SERVICES TO NKVL IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:
Mediation-Volunteers assist with mediation of family law cases. Income Taxpayer Program-Trained volunteers advise and assist low income tax payers who have disputes with the IRS.
Pro Se Divorce Clinic-Volunteers assist clients in a clinic setting w/divorce pleadings in cases where there are no minor children, joint property or liabilities. Criminal Law Panel-Volunteers handle criminally-related cases that cannot result in conviction (e.g. post conviction relief, expungements, driving offenses.)
Speakers' Bureau-Volunteers speak to client groups at various outreach locations on legal issues affecting low-income persons. Hispanic Outreach Clinic-Volunteers work with interpreters to assist Spanish speaking clients with legal issues.
Wills Clinic-Volunteers supervise law students in a clinic setting to draft wills/POA for low income clients.
