Mission
The mission of Northern Kentucky Volunteer Lawyers is to provide quality civil legal assistance at no charge to low income and other vulnerable populations by engaging volunteer lawyers and law students to provide pro bono representation, advice, council and education.
Northern Kentucky Volunteer Lawyers is a joint program of the Northern Kentucky Bar association and Northern Kentucky Legal Aid Society. The Volunteer Lawyer Program serves Kenton, Campbell, Boone, Grant, Gallatin, Carroll, Owen and Pendleton counties. The goal of Northern Kentucky Volunteer Lawyers is to collaborate with other social service agencies, educational institutions and medical facilities to improve the quality of life for our clients and our community.
The Chase Law Advocate Program (CLAP) is a partnership between Northern Kentucky Volunteer Lawyers and the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. This program helps low income individuals receive civil legal assistance. It also gives students the opportunity to assist in legal matters, interact with clients, as well as attorneys, and gain exposure to the local courts. All student volunteers are supervised by licensed attorneys.
